Most, like this weeder, also reflect an improvement in function. The funny-looking oval welded to the handle provides excellent leverage at just the right spot for getting out most weeds. I say most because mature dandelions have roots that extend beyond the reach of this tool. Once you understand that (and have a longer tool available), this device does a great job. Although it is not a problem I have, I imagine this would be a God-send for those with weaknesses in hands and wrists.
