This is either not made of steel or it's an ultra thin steel tube because this bent horribly the very first time I used it. It did feel good in hand and if all you're going to use it with is light fluffy potting soil then it may work but with the cutting tip it implies it is for average to heavy garden use. It obviously isn't. I would highly discourage anyone from buying this and given how poorly constructed this item is I would seriously reconsider buying anything else from Bond.

Amazon has the previous (better, desired) version of the Bond 1903 trowel shown. The previous version had red on the handle and the serrations were on the tip of the trowel and has a round hang-up hole in the handle. Unfortunately, the model that Bond now sells (and calls 1903) has the serrations on the side, no hang-up hole, and is black with no red.

Amazon needs to correct the photo shown for this item.
